[fixed!] Brave closes all windows when clicking >> on bookmarks bar

Edit 2 (03/10): Tis fixed! Thank you @Evan123!

Running Ubuntu 25.04 (dual boot alongside Win 11); Brave 1.82.170 (Official Build) (64-bit).

Description of the issue:
Brave closes all windows when clicking on the >> (Hidden Bookmarks) on the bookmarks bar, but only in a windowed state (i.e. not maximized to fill the screen). Only started happening in the past week or so. Doesn’t seem to happen with a fresh install, prior to signing into my Sync chain.

Steps to reproduce:
Open Brave; have it in a windowed state; click >> on the bookmarks bar.

99% of the time, all Brave windows will instantly close. Very rarely, I’ve resized the window, and it doesn’t have an effect. I resize it again, and it closes.

Via the terminal, I have uninstalled, purged, removed the cache, rebooted etc., before reinstalling using the instructions on the Brave website for linux installs. I added several random bookmarks to a fresh install of Brave prior to joining my Sync chain (enough that there was a >> to click on when maximized), and I couldn’t reproduce the issue, regardless of window size. Signed into my Sync chain, and it happened first time.

It’s happened with or without extensions installed - I’ve not installed any new ones in months. I have rearranged bookmarks to see if that makes a difference, and no luck.

I am totally baffled, and would appreciate any suggestions.

Edit 1: Loaded from the terminal (thanks to my other half), and it spat out the following:

I have the same problem, Brave Release Notes v1.82.172. If I have a few bookmarks in the bookmarks folder, it works. If I have a lot of bookmarks, all taps are terminated.

Thanks for reporting. Do you have any recent crash logs related to the crash? They can be found at brave://crashes

If so, could you provide the IDs? Thanks!

Same here everytime i click it
