On IOS, with no tabs open, Note that the favorite icons are 4 wide
select “Show More”
Note that the new display only shows 3 icons wide
also note that it actually shows less text than on the “no tabs” screen
Expected result:
When the list of favorites is expanded via the “Show More” button, they should display 4 wide, as they used to, and as they are before you expand the list.
My Brave Browser (iOS) version 1.85 (116). The New Tab Page (“NTP”) Favorites / Top Sites icons are indeed arrayed 3 icons wide, as the OP reports, on the occasion of adding a 5th Favorite site.
But the GitHub report’s problem of the text (labels) being truncated (and “cannot be deciphered”), remains.
Myself, I had no issue with the way the NTP icons were arrayed, 4 wide, every row of them.
This issue was reported in the IOS mobile version of the browser. The linked issue deals with the desktop version of the browser and is not the same issue.
Exported here is that there are only 3 icons wide now which is inconsistent. It used to be 4, and there are 4 shown before selecting “show more”.
Just to clarify, @289wk linked two related issues above, the first one being for iOS that very well may be directly related to what you’re seeing so far. Hard to tell as I cannot reproduce. Testing on my end on my iPad and an iPhone everything seems to be displaying correctly.
Can you please share a screenshot(s) and/or a short recording of what you’re seeing on your end so our devs can get a better look at the issue?
