Fafsa site (https://studentaid.gov) is unusually slow and buggy on Brave

I noticed that pages would load extremely slowly and certain buttons on the site wouldn’t load at all.

  • I tried using the site on Edge, Google Chrome, and Firefox and it was loading very quickly and fully functional. (used the same browser, internet, OS, machine, etc)
  • Disabling shields, and adblockers didn’t fix the issue, it was just as slow

Don’t have a login to test, does the task manager show anything (≡ → More Tools → Task Manager) Also try in private window mode / disable secure DNS if enabled.

This may be the reason, but for me it looks like the site itself is broken…

There should be warning with secure DNS, too often things break
