Please add a tool similar (or better than) the Facebook Container plugin I use in Firefox. (Works by isolating your Facebook identity into a separate container that makes it harder for Facebook to track your visits to other websites with third-party cookies.)
It would be really nice and usefull. Itâs one of the primary reasons that keeps me using Firefox along with Brave
Not just a Facebook container. A container function in general, like what we have in Firefox is much needed.
I know that brave handles privacy very well, but my usecase is different.
I work with data and often have more than one Microsoft accounts open at the same time.
Personal, Customer 1 and Customer 2 in a container for each. The same goes for Google accounts.
Please add this, and I will use Brave even more.
Ha yes I was about to write a similar question. As much as I think the Brave browser is a wonderful product, I must say that after using Firefox with the containers again for a few days itâs a much better user experience than having different identities in Brave which all require their own instance.
how about instead of Facebook Container⊠Why donât they make it for every site, but In fire fox I have had one issue it some times loads pages slower or not at all.
Hello, my brother told me about the Brave Browser. But without a Container it is not the right browser for me. It would be nice when you make an extension for this
Your Idea to deal with the ad is very cool.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/sessionbox-free-multi-log/megbklhjamjbcafknkgmokldgolkdfig/related?hl=de I have found a extension for the Chrome store.
thanks.
stay safe, during these times.
Well said. We need containers across all websites
Having a native container functionality (ie: not an extension) is vital for privacy, which is a part of the spirt of Brave. So I second and third the suggestion and ask that this become a priority.
Facebook is one of the pernicious abusers of peopleâs content, but they are not alone. Itâs time to implement more tools like containers to help us fight back and protect ourselves.
I thought about this a few weeks ago as well. I also was not able to find a similar addon for chrome.
i would like to see this
Brave doesnât need this. The browser already blocks any trackers by Facebook. See here: https://www.reddit.com/r/brave_browser/comments/g97gqg/does_brave_dohave_something_similar_to_the/
You know, ironically, I saw a Facebook tracker under this particular page of the forumâŠ
However, if you need a container for a different usecase, then there is a Chrome extension already made for this one: SessionBox and Switch Multi-Login.
Or if you really, really need a real container for Brave. You can make a similiar functionality by using profile:
- Create a new profile called âGoogleâ, and another profile called âMicrosoftâ.
- Switch profile quickly by clicking the profile picture beside the extension list button in the toolbar, and choose âGoogleâ or âMicrosoftâ.
- ???
- Profit
In that way, you can visit âGoogleâ profile incase if you want to go to your Google account, and visit âMicrosoftâ profile incase if you want to go to your Microsoft account.
The only disadvantages I know about this is: you cannot combine the profile tab, only seperate them in window, and you cannot share extension between multiple profile.
To be more specific, what is it that a Container would do that a Profile doesnât already cover? How would the interface for Containers differ from the current interface from Profiles? Those questions help underline what functionality is currently missing.
Right now, I have 4 profiles, one for work, one for personal use, one for Spotify (Widevine), and one for Atlassian (it was giving me trouble on my work profile). I use these profiles to break apart my identities on the net into separated branches of cookies/trackers/etc.
How could my experience be improved through a new interface with Containers?
I would never say youâre a bot, but you certainly sound like one.
Facebook is beyond toxic and has crossed the border into evil.
Itâs âSUPER COOKIEâ SPYWARE has stolen data and monitored peopleâs systems even on computers that belong to those who donât even own a facebook account, AND, has done the same to those who own an account but are logged off, and donât even have their site open in a tab.
Facebook should be regulated and fined out of existence, not added to a browser dedicated to security.
HARD PASS
