Drag and Drop Bookmarks on Sidebar

I moved my dad (81) over to Linux Mint and Brave a couple of months ago from Windows and Firefox. The reasons are the usual suspects.

He has one complaint about Brave and is driving me nuts over it. He wants to be able to drag and drop bookmarks in the sidebar to organize them as he wants. Also, he wants the bookmarked page he’s on to stay highlighted, but can live without that.

He’s threatening to figure out how to install Opera because some random yahoo on the Internet says it’s good. I’ve never used Opera and neither has anyone else so am not keen to installing it. The issue is petty and I’ve shown him how to use the Bookmark Manager but “it isn’t fast enough” or “the way it was in FireFox” and it’s “a major issue” and “Brave sucks”. He is 81 and change doesn’t go over well.

Could you at least look into what this would take and let me know if I’m missing something? BTW, I did try opening two windows with the Bookmark Manager on both then drag and drop from one to the other, that doesn’t work.

Thanks, and major eye roll.

Desktop browser can drag and drop for the bookmarks toolbar. On desktop the bookmarkers manager allows drag and drop. One Android it’s not so easy. I have to click option to move the bookmark elsewhere, or remove bookmark and add it back where I want it. Maybe give him a demonstration. I learn best that way, one-on-one hands on. Now everyone thinks texts, videos, group teams and zoom are better. Not for everyone.
