Down Arrow at the end of horizontal tab list is gone

Here is what happened:

  1. Cleared cache and history trying to get something to work
  2. Computer crashed
  3. Restored
  4. The arrow at the end of the tab list that you could click to see the most recent used tabs is gone. This is how you could see all the hidden tabs. It would also show what tabs had audio playing.
  5. This is unusable now as I work with over a 1000 tabs across multiple windows.

Thoughts? Picture of the area where the arrow should be attached.

Hello! The Tab Search option was moved. It can be enabled under Settings → Appearance (brave://settings/appearance). Look for the Show tab search button.

The “show tab search button” was already enabled, yet I don’t see the down-arrow… what am I missing?

I made a Brave account solely for this issue as it is the only reason why I haven’t migrated to Edge. The “show tab search” option was already enabled in my settings, yet I still don’t see the down arrow even after a reboot. Am I missing something, or was it removed?

In my case, JIRA’s search function sucks. It is far more convenient to keep all of my running tickets in their own tab instead of resorting to bookmarks, as memory is cheap nowadays, so why not? Also, it is essential to track tabs in the order in which they were opened without having to go to history, as well as tabs that are playing AV content… I don’t think the Brave team realized how useful this feature was.

It’s now a box icon with a little magnifying glass inside it, which just looks stupid, and worse, they’ve moved it down into the already crowded extension bar. Who TF is designing this?! Who TF is actually testing these changes and is going “Ah yes, arbitrary changes that will piss off the entire community; perfection!”

I use Google Chrome at my work and it still has the Button I like.
