I rarely use Facebook, but it can be useful. It would appear that I now either have to pay for Facebook or see adverts. Can Brave block Facebook adverts?
That is true insanity (that they’re asking you to pay to remove ads on a social media site like FB)! 
Yes, Brave blocks FB ads.
It can block ads, but also Facebook updates often to counter adblockers.
I’m going to assume you are in the EU, if that’s not the case then sorry. The news pointed me to that conclusion. Read this article about EU going after Facebook/ Meta.
