Disabling picture on new tab

Currently not possible (as I just found out) but issue is already open:

Is there a way to turn off homepage/new tab photo wallpaper?

I’m not sure if I’m using the right terms, but is there a way to turn off the rotating wallpaper backgrounds when you first open Brave or open a new tab? Don’t get me wrong, they are all beautiful images, but I prefer a simple solid black background in my web browser.
