Only url box becomes black when set to bottom.
Have tried reboot, restart, still no change.
Using latest stable version on Samsung Galaxy A23 on Android.

Not entirely sure I understand – looking at your screenshot, it looks like the entire bottom toolbar (not just the URL) is dark. I suspect that if you were to open the main menu, that would also display in dark theme – is that correct?
If so can you please elaborate on what the exact issue is?

More specifically, the bottom part, below the url box should also be black as per dark theme selected.
I see – you mean the actual system toolbar. Strange that it’s not – my Samsung Galaxy S22 has the system toolbar dark as well.
Is Brave the only app in which you see this occur?
Yes.
On the road right now…
Oddly shows white when scrolling up and then black when going back down.
Also it is always black on this community page!
Getting weirder by the minute.
P. S. Keep in mind that Firefox and Vivaldi have been my staples on Android.

For whatever reason… it seems that this issue has resolved itself.
Can’t figure this one out.
Was it a recent update? A reboot?
Found the culprit!!! 
It does it only when viewing articles from Google’s app on Android.
