Crypto full page ads in the home screen

Description of the issue: Started getting Crypto ads in the home page as well as the normal Brave backgrounds. I have Brave rewards turned off.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!): Crypto ads as browser home screen background. If I refresh page, it returns to the normal Brave backgrounds but every other refresh brings up a crypto ad.

Expected result: Just normal Brave backgrounds

Reproduces how often: Constantly

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu): Windows 11 Home / Brave 1.85.118 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information: I’ve tried turning off Brave rewards but it doesn’t help. I have had to turn Brave backgrounds off all together as the Crypto ads are way too in your face and distracting. To make matters worse, if I accidentally click anywhere on the screen, I’m redirected to a crypto website. If this continues, I’ll have to find an alternative browser.

There’s a specific setting in the New Tab Page settings for ads themselves, that includes the crypto ones:

When disabled, I’ve had nothing but a super clean New Tab Page.

Thanks guys. I’ve just had to re-install Windows and it’s not getting all the programs back up and running that’s so tiresome, it’s all the settings in every piece of software that takes the time. I found the “Show new tab page ads” setting thanks too you. Must have looked at it a dozen times and it didn’t register. Thanks again.
