Cookies can't be deleted

I´m wondering why Brave always starts with cookies from 9 sites. I always delete all browsing history when I close the browser and if I re-check history it will show no cookies or site data but if I then quit the browser and restart it it always has cookies and data from 9 sites.

Which nine sites does it have cookies from?

I don’t know. When I click “show history” it displays nothing.

How do you know about these 9 cookies?
Try the following:

  1. Clear your browsing data as you normally do
  2. Then, go to Settings --> Advanced --> Privacy/Security --> Site Settings --> Cookies --> See all cookies and site data
    • Alternatively, you can simply type brave://settings/siteData into the address bar

Can you tell me what cookies are listed?

I cleared them, quit the browser and found them still present after restarting.

I uninstalled browser and all support files and folders and then reinstalled, seems to have cleared up problem.

Good to hear that you got this worked out – there are some caching issues we’ve had lately that may have caused this particular issue.
Please let me know if the behavior presents again.
