Cast Feature Can't Find Devices

Description of the issue:
After I have enabled the Media Router in brave://settings/ under the extensions section, the cast function can’t find any devices.
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Enable Media Router in brave://settings/
  2. Navigate to website (i.e. YouTube)
  3. Click on the hamburger menu and select “Cast”
  4. Message displayed stating “No devices found”
    Expected result:
    Samsung TV should be found instead of no devices
    Brave Version( check About Brave):
    Version 1.31.87 Chromium: 95.0.4638.54 (Official Build) (64-bit)
    Additional Information:
    Running Linux Mint 20.2
    NordVPN enabled
    Also enabled “Connect to Cast devices on all IP addresses”
    I DO NOT see the flags #load-media-router-component-extension and #views-cast-dialog listed

I’m having the same issue. Also running Linux Mint 20.2. The only differences from the info you show is

  1. TV - Toshiba
  2. Running ProtonVPN although does not cast with or without VPN enabled.

I’m using NordVPN client on my device. I just found that if I disable the VPN client on my device, the casting feature works.

I realize this may not help given you said that cast isn’t working with the VPN on or off.
