Description of the issue:
I am unable to enable captions, or view captions that were visible moments ago, when moving to fullscreen on YouTube in the brave browser.
How can this issue be reproduced?

Open YouTube on the brave browser and log in

Select any video, start it playing and enable captions

Select the fullscreen button
Expected result:
Captions which are already enabled continue when video is made fullscreen by selecting the fullscreen button, and captions are able to be toggled on and off using a button in the kebab menu in the lower right of the screen, where the ‘playback speed’ button is found.

Additional Information:
I’m hoping to use the brave browser as an alternative client for YouTube, to allow me to avoid ads and disable shorts. I sincerely hope this is a bug, and not a design choice that makes the app completely unusable for Deaf people who’d like to watch fullscreen YouTube videos on Brave. Captions are also not working in Picture in Picture.
