Can't use password manager for passwords and Brave to "save and fill addresses"

Description of the issue:

I use a password manager extension (1Password X) for passwords, and I’d like to use Brave for addresses. in the settings, it tells me that “1Password X – Password Manager is controlling this setting” and if I click the “disable” button there, it disables the entire 1Password extension, not just the address auto-fill.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Add a few addresses to Brave
  2. Install 1Password X
  3. Note that the Brave addresses don’t show up
  4. Click ‘Disable’ on brave://settings/addresses

Expected result:

1password continues to work for passwords, but addresses are filled by Brave.

Additional Information:

Chrome and Chromium handle this without problem.

My primary OS is macOS, but the same is true on Windows and Linux.

Address auto-fill would have much more utility if it synced.
