Can't sync desktop Brave browser to iPhone Brave browser to import passwords

I updated all of my passwords and saved them in my Brave browser on my desktop as a security precaution. I’ve gone to settings in the Brave browser → Sync and have gone through the process of making a sync chain between my desktop and iPhone Brave browsers. However, no matter how many times I do this process, it never actually syncs.

I’ve tried:
-using the QR code to sync
-manually inputting the Sync Chain Code
-reinstalling my Brave browser on my iPhone
-restarting my iPhone and my computer and the Brave browser
-deleting “synced” devices from my iPhone Brave browser (just the iPhone itself is the only one listed) and then retrying the process countless times
-making sure to select “Passwords” and “Bookmarks” on the iPhone Brave sync section.

I don’t get an error; it just doesn’t actually sync or import anything. It never shows anything is synced on my desktop Brave browser. I have over 80 passwords to update on my iPhone, and since the Sync option is not working, it’ll take me hours to update them manually.

All of my Brave browsers are up to date as of this writing. I have the newest iPhone. I’m on a HP desktop computer with Windows 10.

Please help.

Brave Support will need the Brave Browser version numbers for each device. Please include that info in your Original Post above.

If you set up the Brave Sync Chain to ONLY sync Brave Browser bookmarks, does that sole-purpose sync work?

PS. I recommend that you also store your passwords in some other app and also an encrypted file . . . a safe place, so you do not have to report: “I lost my . . .” when an app fails your expectations.

Thank you for the response. I actually just finally got it to work about 2 minutes ago.

With regard to the password recommendation, that is something I’ve been working on. I have my passwords saved on my iPhone Passwords app (although they need to be updated now). The rest are stored on my Brave browsers via the sync chain that I finally got working. I can’t seem to find a way to easily and safely update my passwords across devices without manually typing in these long weird passwords or by non-securely emailing myself the new password and then deleting the email after updating. The new sync chain will now eliminate the need to do the emailing method, but I’m curious what a better and safe method would be. Thank you for your time.
