Can't run Brave's apps from the dock - Ubuntu 21

Hi everyone!

I would like to know how can I open a brave app from the dock in Ubuntu 21.04 (GNOME 3.38.5), for example, if I install youtube as a shortcut it will ask me to open it as a separate window, like an independent app, but I would like to see the youtube icon in the dock and not like a window inside of brave icon.

This is what happens:

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open Brave and go to YouTube, spotify or any other page.
  2. Click in the upper right menu bottom and hover in more tools.
  3. Click on create shortcut and mark ‘‘open as window’’ box in the pop up.
  4. Brave will open your page like a separate app and it will create a ‘’.desktop’’ file in the desktop for each shortcut you create.
