Can't actually install pwa

I just started using brave a few days ago and on my pixel 8pro, running the latest Android 14 may security update and version 1.66.113 of brave, I can’t seem to actually install PWAs. It gives me the option I’m brave, but when I click it it says it’s installing but only gives me the option to “add to home screen”

Right, then you hold down and put it on your home screen. From then on you press that icon to open the PWA.

That’s not a pwa. That’s a home screen shortcut. An actual pwa gets added to the app drawer. At least, that is how it functions in chrome.
