Cannot screenshare in Zoom when using Brave

Description of the issue:
Share Screen button in Zoom meetings (app.zoom.us) is MISSING when using using Brave.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Join or start a meeting at app.zoom.us

Expected result:
Share Screen button should appear in the toolbar across the bottom of the screen

Actual result:
No Share Screen button appears when using Brave.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
1.69.168

Additional Information:
I’ve tried incognito. I’ve tried clearing cache and cookies. I’ve tried different profiles. I’ve tried turning off all extensions. I’ve tried turning off Shields. Works fine in all other browsers.

Apologies for the long wait time here.

Thank you for reporting. Yes, looks like I can reproduce this as well. Tested in Chrome and the Share screen button appears as expected so its definitely a Brave issue.

I’ve opened the following issue and pinged the devs to take a look:

Tested, finally. Can confirm it’s resolved. Thanks so much! I hate the Zoom app with the fire of 1000 suns, so having the webapp back is a big relief.

When screensharing via the Zoom webapp on Brave, did have a problem CMD+TAB-ing back to Brave from another app — more specifically from another Mac desktop. The Brave menu bar appeared, but I was still seeing in Desktop 2, while all my Brave windows were in Desktop 1. But that may have been a fluke. If it’s reproducible, I’ll start a new thread.

I have been having this issue for a month or so. I see here it says it was resolved but as of this morning I still cannot screenshare. v1.70.123
