Cannot print from pdf extension

Current version of Brave, most recent version of the Adobe PDF extension. Attempting to print a PDF being viewed always fails with a message dialog “unable to print” (screen image included).

Navigating to the exact same site, same pdf, using “real” Google Chrome, the print functions works just fine.

Windows 10 running on Lenovo Thinkpad
Brave is up to date[
Version 1.52.130 Chromium: 114.0.5735.198 (Official Build) (64-bit)
