Hi Steeven I have exactly the same issue on android latest update and brave latest update on a Samsung galaxy tab s10 ultra and I also have loads of open tabs I want to keep. No way to save them or get any version number or crash report etc as only stays open for a few seconds.

@steeven thank you for your reply. I have the android version 15 on my Samsung Galaxy S6 Lite Tablet. I have the Brave version 1.83.120. I can not give you the crash reports since my Browser isnt open long enough to enter Brave://crashes. Is there another way to view them?

However my tablet gives me this information which translates to: Error occurred with Brave. Brave was closed because this app contains an error. Try updating this app after its developer provides a fix.

@watermelon2025 You can view the version number of the App and your tablet in your settings. Just search for the App and scroll all the way down, it should be there. Then search for Android-Version in your settings. As for the other problem I am also waiting for a solution.

Hi there,

I too am experiencing the exact same. It started crashing when I grouped some tabs (including another group). Since then: the app launches but once the tab-bar starts trying to load (after 2-3s), it force quits.

I’m on version 1.84.133 of the Brave Release app. Also on a Samsung Tablet (Galaxy Tab A8).

@SMB1 My Tablet too gives a notification after a few crashes:

“Empty Cache for Brave?

Brave closed because the app contains a bug. Firs try to empty the cache of the app, and then try again”

At some point it also gave a notification to wait until the developer updates the app, and to download that but I can’t seem to get that anymore easily.

The screenshot you have provided of the start-up of the app is the same for me, it loads most things except the top tab-bar.

@wardroberug now that you mention it, it also happened after I grouped some taps so we definitely have the same problem. I honestly wonder if there is ging to be a resolution, since I have not Gottes an answer yet ufff. If this persists maybe do your own posts. I feel like fresh posts are more likely to get an answer.

Alright @watermelon2025 @wardroberug @steeven I fixed the problem, in a way. In the 2 seconds the Browser was open, I was able to view my history. I opened it, it crashed. I opened it and the history was open. So i took screenshots and x the history I already screenshotted. This did take a long time since I had to reopen the Browser hundreds of times but it did work. Eventually after deleting some of the history my Browser stayed open longer so I was able to view my tabs. Im not sure why but as soon as I deleted one of my grouped tabs, since I had screenshots of what was in there, it didnt crash and worked again (maybe this was the “problen” group.) Only downside is that it took a long time and all of the tabs that werent open in a group now are about.blank so I cant view them anymore. However my Browser now runs again so this is an alternative to deinstalling if you have the time.
