Hi Devs,

I found this WP Plugin that blocks every adblocker out there & even Brave’s Shield.

Is there any way to block the adblocker detection?

It would be very helpful if this is PreBlocked in the future builds of Brave.

Brave version ( Version 0.68.139 Chromium: 77.0.3865.90 (Official Build) (64-bit)):

Extensions Installed -

  1. UBlock Origin
  2. LastPass
  3. Privacy Badger
  4. TamperMonkey.

We just address the sites that use it, case-by-case.

So, does that mean it will not detect adblock in future builds?

There are plenty of sites that detect Brave, we can work around it. But every site was have a slightly different implementation for detection. We can’t just fix “every site” because they’ll vary it.

But we are targeting Anti-adblock scripts/tracking in Brave. We value privacy, security and the general annoyance.
