Brave with Google ads

Hello Brave Community,

I have been thinking about how Brave browser completely removes the adverts on platforms like YouTube. While I love the efforts, I have some issues with the feature.

I generally like to watch ads on YouTube to support the creators, but also sometimes like to play the video in background and or while the screen is locked. Now I don’t know if there is a feature to tweak these settings, but my android Brave browser out right stops all the ads on YouTube with the other features like background play or locked screen play.

I would love if someone were to guide me to the setting to change this so that I can watch the ads on YouTube, or any other website but still leep the background play and locked screen play option.

I ran into the same wall with slow approvals, so I decided to buy taboola ad account from Capital Media Hub, and it sped things up a lot. The quick setup and stable delivery made scaling way smoother, and having their support on hand took a lot of stress out of testing new angles. If you’re trying to push campaigns faster, it’s been a solid move for me.

Yep – this can be done by simply disabling the Block ads/trackers option in the Shields panel in the address bar.
