Description of the issue:
Brave v 1.80.115-1.x86_64 & 1.80.113-1.x86_64 won’t launch on Fedora 42 with KDE Plasma

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Ensure Fedora 42 KDE Plasma is updated.
  2. Attempt to launch Brave, either through Application Launcher or cli.
  3. Brave sputters and never launches.

Expected result:
Brave should launch normally.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
See topic title. Attempted downgrade, still didn’t launch as it should.

Additional Information:
Attempting to launch Brave via cli makes it spit out this message:

[6579:6579:0707/084031.843820:ERROR:chrome/browser/ui/views/message_box_dialog.cc:198] Unable to show message box: Brave - The profile appears to be in use by another Brave process (27655) on another computer (fedora). Brave has locked the profile so that it doesn’t get corrupted. If you are sure no other processes are using this profile, you can unlock the profile and relaunch Brave.
