Brave using 100% of CPU

Description of the issue:

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

Happened immediately upon startup. the moment i opened brave, computer starting having trouble performing actions and then when i opened task manager, CPU was at 100% and brave was the cause. closing all taps and reopening brave improved it but didnt resolve the issue, nor did restarting the computer. Eventually the issue seemed to have resolved itself, but the fact that it happened is worrisome.

this is the first time ive experienced it

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):

Windows 10 and brave v1.82.166

Is HW Acceleration enabled?

nope, i always have it disabled. I have found that there is usually a specific child under the brave tab in the task manager that uses up all the CPU, and that ending that task solves the problem

The CPU is doing all the work, video decode etc. Why CPU usage is high. Re-enabling GPU/HW Acceleration for better management of resources.
