Brave shows strange symbols in home button web option

I’m closing this as it’s a duplicate report. Saw initial at I can't set the search engine name in Brave Nightly settings and I have opened a Github issue for it:

Bug when inputting custom site for Home Page

### Description When trying to enter a custom site as a Homepage at `brave://se…ttings/appearance` it bugs out and inserts text like mT��蒫?� once submitted. I did search.brave.com and it entered as -��Ҁ?�ۺ�ۺ If I use the Home button, it goes to Dashboard despite having something else typed in. ### Steps to reproduce 1. Go to `brave://settings/appearance` 2. Enable **Show home button** 3. Enter a custom address 4. Thanks for reporting. Not sure of an ETA but it is at least now a known issue and I’m sure they’ll be trying to get it figured out and fixed.
