Brave should let us optionally switch its icon to Chrome’s so tech-illiterate users don’t immediately demand Chrome back.

I think a lot of us who recommend Brave to friends, family, or coworkers run into the same issue: the moment they see it’s not Chrome, they immediately ask to “get Chrome back.” Even if Brave is better for privacy, security, and performance, the different icon makes non-technical users suspicious.

A simple solution could be an optional setting that lets users change Brave’s app icon to look like Chrome’s. That way, those who are less tech-savvy won’t panic or complain, and they can continue browsing happily while enjoying Brave’s benefits under the hood.

Of course, this would be purely cosmetic and optional—advanced users can keep Brave’s lion icon if they prefer. But for those of us trying to transition less-technical people away from Chrome, this would make adoption a lot smoother.
