Brave setting "Same as macOS" turns webpages black

Some websites suddenly started displaying with black backgrounds making them unreadable. No settings were changed prior to this to my knowledge.
In this example, it is also displaying white text on white. I have seen similar issues posted but found no solution.

Setting Brave colors to light works but I prefer a dark theme.

Version 1.35.104 Chromium: 98.0.4758.109 (Official Build) (arm64)

Mac OS Monterey Version 12.0.1

Try removing or disabling the Adobe Acrobat extension. I had the same issue on Windows 11. It got solved after i removed it.

Autodarkmode suddenly appears/applies on all website

This problem is caused by Adobe Acrobat’s most recent extension update. Version 15.1.3.8 was released about 10-11 hours ago, and began breaking pages (such as Google Drive, Twitch, and more) for Adobe’s 10,000,000+ users. For now, the best option is to disable the extension. If you need it from time to time, you can enable as needed, or install it in a temporary profile (you can create a new profile via the ☰ menu).
