I believe this has been discussed before – I believe that there are some queries that use a “summary” feature which leverages AI, but is different than the actual “answer with AI” functionality and I’m unclear on whether or not it is expected to blocked when Answer with AI is toggled off also. Going to confirm this shortly.
That being said, just like @Saoiray, on my end, with Answer with AI disabled and using the same search query, I do not see an AI response, summary or otherwise:
Additionally, we do have open issues for the Answer with AI toggle not always being respected:
In the meantime, one thing you can do here is use the built in Element blocker to hide any AI elements (or elements from any page) from appearing on the search page – including the AI/summary output field. See my comment here for more details on how to do that.
