Brave rewards for May, not arrived to my verified Uphold wallet (even though browsers says it did!)

same here, no deposit for may, opened a ticket 199897 some days ago, still waiting for a proper reply, so far the only response i got yesterday was “Thank you for reaching out to Brave Support. We are currently investigating the issue. We thank you for your patience.
Brave Support” , and thats it, dont even know if there will a new reply to my plea, i was supposed to receive about 4.2BAT for may, since the computer i use to navigate with brave was in repair, so most of the month i had no activity, but came end of the month i did receive the in browser side panel message: “Congratulations! Your May rewards have arrived!” , but nothing was deposit in my uphold verified account, was receiving deposits normally until this month of may, as of now uphold is still connected and accumulating ads balance for the next month to about 6.8BAT as of today, so how would i know that the situation has been remedy or same thing will happen next month? so far by others experiences reported in the forum, appears more likely that ill be left accumulating balance this month only to get no deposit again, if there’s some flag and shadow ban of users, i think that should be a transparent process to the community and not a surprise, no explanations given, see ya, type of deal. Or at least disconnect the user from its uphold account and leave a message saying so, providing an explanation. If my activity for some reason as flagged by a automated process i should be informed of that? right? i navigate normally through sites, didn’t do nothing to my knowledge that was against any brave rewards rules, my computer its on 24/7 since its my main device for work and leisure, i usually have a very stable list of address and sites i visit everyday with no much variation, maybe that can be constructed by an automated ban algorithm as odd behavior and then get my profile flagged? well i dont know, since there is no way of confirming that, all i know is that i’m a real user that uses brave browser normally, visiting sites and seeing ads now and then, at this point i have no way of knowing as per said above if the reason of not receiving this months deposit was a flag or not. i’m from Brazil, i remembered once having to start a new brave profile from scratch and end up losing all my balance, but that end up being the only way for going back to receive my balance, that happened during the period where uphold was not available for my region, and during that time the balance was accumulated only inside brave browser and this situation took a while to get fixed, so i had to make a new profile, connect to uphold get verified, but that ordeal made me lose most of the balance i had accumulated for the period since i had to make a new profile. But things were normal for the last months, if that its the only solution again, i dont know if the hassle of having to deal with all of this every few months its worth, i mean its like i am left begging to some unknow good soul in support to receive a few bats that i was entitled to, but not worth more than a few dollars because this situations keep happening and the community is left aside not included in why something is going on. If there are bad actors, and probably are a few, that are trying to take advantage of ads and how balance its accumulated within brave, maybe try to improve that system first so is more robust, before implementing a wide scope shadow ban that ends up having more collateral damage by erroneously flagging regular user like me and many others, or at least implement along side that a way to appeal of such decision and way to proper inform the user affected by that. Raising support tickets shouldn’t be the only way to reach out, since the whole brave rewards idea its to provide rewards, the priority should be a hassle free process/environment to a regular user but as of now that doesn’t seen to be the case.

@nothereorthere I’m going to try to force myself to read everything you said later, but difficult for me now. What you did is referred to as a “wall of text.” It helps if you can separate paragraphs. It makes it much easier to read than just a bunch of stuff crammed together. But with how tired I am, it’s too hard on the eyes to try to read all of that as is.

Hi there,

I still have yet to receive my May rewards also. My support ticket number is: 200617 and am waiting on a reply.

Any help would be very appreciated!

Same issue with me, ticket 199869, responded with an automated email saying I was flagged and wouldn’t be reinstated.

I haven’t done anything other than browse normally. Kinda confused by the whole thing.

I also did not receive the May distribution of BAT to my Uphold. I’ve been set up like this since 2020 and has been working fine until this past month. I filed a ticket as well. My case number for this ticket is 201159.

The system detected unusual activity from your device. Most likely, was observed various times therefore was decided that your account will not be re instated.

I submitted a ticket as well (199945) and finally got a response saying that my account was flagged and will not be reinstated after no change in my use of the Brave browser in years. This is insane! This is obviously not an isolated issue as there is a deluge of people reporting the exact same issue. May rewards not received, ticket submitted, account flagged, account not reinstated. This is the exact same thing happening to a ton of people on here and we deserve to have this resolved

That is insane, same for me…

I don’t know how they can come back from that…

“flagged” ?!
nothing change from my setup and i do not no “Irregular activity”
i think this is a way from Brave to “scam” people.
I am very disappointed because I have been using and supporting Brave since 2021. So for my part, I will add a negative comment on android and windows support to denounce this “scam” and uninstall Brave from all my supports as well as those around me.

I had the same reaction lol. I understand

I think explaining it more for others to understand what not to do needs to be done. This cold response is not good enough either. This is not the way to become a globally accepted browser.

That is true but many people then found loopholes and tried to evade the system. Therefore, it’s determined by many companies that telling people why they got banned or flagged isn’t a good idea since people use that information to circumvent through other methods then.

I understand but normal usage person getting banned is a different situation. People just try to see ads and get lumped in with the bad people. Not right. Needs to be reevaluated if too many are getting flagged

Same issue than stated above, I didn’t recieve my may payout and when I try to reconnect to my uphold wallet in one of my devices it states the account is flagged.
My ticket: 201869

Suggest you submit a support ticket so that the Brave team can investigate.

Brave es una estafa. Debieramos dejar de usarla.

ya lo deje de usar, es increible la forma que estan baneando a personas que hemos sido fieles con el navegador desde hace años La falta de transparencia y la forma de banear a usuarios legales es inaudito.

Just got an answer from Brave support, the account will remain flagged. No information was given about why it was flagged in the first place.

However, I have my idea about it as it already happened in a somewhat similar context in the past. Indeed, my account was flagged when the support for Gemini was removed for all countries but the USA. My account was already verified before the support dropped, and when I tried to reconnect, I got flagged. Even if Brave announced that all accounts verified before the drop will be able to reconnect without waiting for Gemini to resupport the country in question.

I also have an idea why I get flag in those situation. Indeed, I live and study in different coutries. Therefore, my fiscal address is not in the same country I study (work) as I still spend most of my time in my home country (as studies are mostly remotely and it is cheaper for me to do so). Yet, I still stay some month per year in the second country. This was already the case when I was flagged in the past (October last year by memory).

If this is not the problem, in my case, then I really don’t understand how do they flag people. I mean, I’m not even trying to “cheat” the system as my last payout were all less than 4 bats per months. If i get hundreds or thousands bats per months, such, but 4 bats? That is about 0.70 USD in today’s exchange rate.

All in all, this is seriously worrying and does not spure confidence toward Brave. If you can be flagged that easily, then there is no point in proposing the service. Especially that to get the account flagged was really difficult in the first time. In short, the Brave support did not believe that I my situation. Luckily, I managed to contact a Brave staff via Twitter who updated users about the current situation with re-linking Gemini to Brave. I believe the person I contacted was high enough to get a second high and listen to the situation as I was unflagged in the following day. Not sure if I would like to proceed again with this hassle (and I don’t really want to bother again the person I contacted via Twitter).

I hope Brave will update about that situation soon.

Evidentemente el unico objetivo es no pagar las recompensas. La excusa es verdaderamente absurda, es buscar una mentira para no pagar. No recomendaria Brave a nadie.

Well it seems not everybody is remaining flagged after Brave investigate. Whatever restrictions were on my account appear to have been lifted and I just received May’s payment into my Uphold account, and can reconnect my disconnected devices. Grateful to Brave for fixing this.
