Description of the issue:
In the last ten days or so, Brave on Linux has been crashing few times a day without any apparent reason, regardless of whether I’m actively using it or not, no matter which or how many tabs or windows I have. Interestingly, after it crashes, it can’t be relaunched at all — not even after logging out and log back in. I have to completely restart the computer for Brave to start working again. Seems like some serious bug related to some system call. No other apps are crashing all the time.
I regularly perform updates and currently have version 1.83.109, but it happened with previous version, too. I’m using Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.3. I’ve read about recent crashes that were supposedly fixed, but it still keeps crashing for me even after that update.
How can this issue be reproduced?
It can’t be reproduced manually. It happens randomly without any reason or visible action.
Expected result:
Brave should work without crash
Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.83.109 (but happened with previous version, too)
Additional Information: I tried to disable addons, but it didn’t help.
Message when I try to relaunch Brave from the terminal:
