Brave Launching Extremely Slow on Windows 11 Does not Happen in Chrome

Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. When Oppend Brave takes a While to Launch a window is slugish, it started happening 2 days ago

  2. The Version Im using is the latest Stable version of Brave Brave is up to date

  3. I’m on Windows 11 25H2 I’ve tried Clearing Data and reinstaling Brave also tested other Browser restarted and Updated windows nothing helps is Brave issue for sure…

Expected result: Fast Window Opened as it was !!

Brave Version( Brave 1.82.161 (Official Build) (64-bit)):

Additional Information: Hardware Is Very good as Well I9 13950HX with 96gb ram and RTX4090

Disable all extensions that you may have installed.

In a Brave Browser New Window, go to

brave://settings/clearBrowserData

Clear data stuff (Advanced tab, for All time) everything except Passwords, Shields settings, and Autofill. Exit / Quit everything, and Restart the Windows OS computer two times in succession.

Test Brave startups.

Thanks that did not work for me, I’ve even reinstalled windows 11 and I’m sure brave is just not working as intended.. Did the steps and the same start is long and slow and it should not be.

It started happening in the lase two updates of brave..

Probably correct ← when a competing Internet browser does not encounter the problem and:

  • Startup of browser goes to same website or a blank page
  • Same extensions
  • Same number of tabs
  • There are neither Operating System updates nor software updates waiting in the wings and/or partially installed
  • There is no sync process enabled
  • etc.

In other words, when as near as possible in comparison, the same burdens are applied.

I ran into a problem with Brave Browser this morning (USA Eastern Time Zone, 09/16/2025 Tuesday). The Brave Community uses Discourse software, and the https://avatars.discourse-cdn.com source is extremely sluggish for Brave Browser ← to the point that some Brave Community member icons do not display . . . but a comparison test using Firefox, the icons show (though delayed by some seconds).

I sometimes report bugs to this forum, but I otherwise immediately switch to using Firefox, then Microsoft Edge or Safari (I mostly use the Mac).

Whether Windows OS or MacOS, I set up browsers to start up to a blank page, instead of adding the burden of going to a website. I favor reduction of network connections - keeping things simple for launch control back in Houston or wherever.

Hey thanks no other browsers work all normal i don’t use any extensions even tested it on 24H2 and 25H2 and it is the same I guees I’m going back to chrome or might actually make a use edge sync all my stuff with MS account and just do as microsoft wants…
