Brave keeps crashing for absolutely no reason:
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Open a new tab or search something
2.RAM consumption is over the roof
Expected result:
Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.52.130
Additional Information:
I shared (using Brave feature) the crash reports
So does Brave open at all for you ?
Also, if brave opens for you when you don’t open a new tab, could you go to brave://flags and disable flags any flags called ‘brave news’

We have this template here on Community so that you can include as much information to help us as possible and less questions need to be asked to troubleshoot the issue.
- What version of Windows are you running at this time?
- Do you have any extensions installed? If so, which ones and does disabling them change the behavior at all?
- You stated that the issue can be reproduce by first “opening a tab or search or something” — can you please be more specific about the exact behavior that causes the issue?
- Did this issue just start or did you only recently download the browser?
- If you launch brave and go to
Settings(for example) does the browser crash? - If you sent your crash reports, can you please provide the crash report IDs for us here so we can take a look?
I found what is the issue, but do not know how to resolve it. I added a new news feed (www.sapo.pt) and that is making the browser crash. I change the the new tab page to a blank page, browser works fine.
How can I remove this news feed from the configuration files?
