Brave keep crashes on Mac. It won't even open

When I try to open Brave from the Dock on my Mac, I get an error message saying “Brave Browser quit unexpectedly.”

  1. I’m clicking Brave icon from the Dock.

  2. The browser tries to open.

  3. Immediately crashes with the error message.

I cannot check the brave browser version because the browser does not open at all.

Running on Mac. The issue happens every time I try to launch Brave. MacOS version: 26.0.1 Tahoe

hi, thank you for response. I guess all I can do now is sit and wait for the fix.

By the way, another question: will the app not opening prevent me from getting this fix?

@kolsag the release is out now. What you can do is go to brave.com/download and re-download and run the installer. It won’t overwrite your current installation but will instead apply the latest update.
