Brave freezes randomly for about 2-15 sec with on observable pattern

Description of the issue:

From time to time, my brave just hangs for a while (maybe 3 to 20 sec). The whole UI freezes, no interaction is possible. CPU is high during this time. I tried to look at the internal task manager (Shift-Esc), but this doesn’t open and I got no useful hints.

This seems to be the same issue as reported by others:

It happens really randomly.

Reproduces how often:

On my machine it’s like once or 10 times a day. No pattern really.
