Description of the issue:
This is quite a weird issue; I’m not even fully sure if it’s related to Brave, however it seems to be caused by Brave.
I have to use Microsoft Teams at the moment. However, when I have both Brave & Teams open, Teams will go into a crash loop (crash, reopen, crash, etc.). This can be stopped by force quitting Brave. This was not solved by reinstalling either application.
I resolved this (temporarily) by creating a new user profile, and reinstalling the applications concerned.
However, this has now flared up on the new profile, yet slightly different.
I use an app called Notion (Google it) for various things; the desktop app is basically the website in a fancy container.
Whenever I have Notion open now, I get an Aw Snap! error in Brave, whilst Microsoft Teams crashes.
Brave will then also crash a few seconds later.
How can this issue be reproduced?
I’m not sure it can be, but I’ll have a go.
- Run Brave, Microsoft Teams, and Notion on your mac.
- Wait.
Expected result:
Nothing crashes.
Brave Version( check About Brave):
1.18.78 Chromium: 87.0.4280.141 (Official Build) (x86_64)
Additional Information:
iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2017)
3.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
8 GB 2400 MHz DDR4
Radeon Pro 560 4 GB
C02XR1EYJ1G6
Whenever any of these applications crash, Brave Browser Helper (Renderer) shows up in console.
I tried to upload the crash logs, but it wouldn’t let me…
I’ll try again later.
Any ideas?
It’s incredibly disruptive, and links back to Brave somehow…
