I first noticed this when I tried to download a file attached to an email: “Failed - insufficient permissions.” Shields are down for that site, and I was able to download the file by using a different browser on the same computer.
When I try to attach a file to send via my email, I get this:
“Could not read the contents of folder
Error opening directory ‘/home/acer-desktop/folder’: Permission denied”
I thought it might just be my webmail, so I went to a random website and tried to download an image, and I got this:
“Could not read the contents of Downloads
Error opening directory ‘/home/acer-desktop/Downloads’: Permission denied”
I tried to download the same image on Firefox, and it downloaded successfully.
Brave doesn’t have this problem on my phone, it only does this on my desktop computer. I don’t see any options in “Settings” to allow Brave to access my computer folders and files.
