Brave has been intermittently hanging requiring a force quit. In fact, it occurred when I landed on this page, for a total of 3 events in the last 10 minutes.
Usually a double-arrow cursor appears but sometimes it is the regular arrow cursor.
When I open Brave again I am able to restore previous browser windows.
Hardware acceleration was disabled and the issue immediately happened again. I cannot identify an action or a kind of webpage that is common to the issue.
This has been happening for around 2 weeks. I will disable the most current extension addition (Avast Online Security and Privacy) to see if the situation improves but I have had it installed for at least one month.
