Brave bookmarks disappeared

One folder of Barve bookmarks has disappeared. Computer wasn’t shut down and nothing else happened that I know of- they were they and when I returned to my computer 2 hours later the file was gone. Anti-virus software says no threat. They aren’t in the trash folder. How can I find them?
