Please provide as much detail as possible so we can most efficiently resolve your problem.

Description of the issue: when opening the brave app the app seems to hang. Not initializing fully and leaving the app open but unable to be utilized (no tabs, search, Home Screen etc).

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. In my case just opening the app on the iPhone 16 pro max was all it takes to reproduce.

  2. Steps I’ve taken to rectify it. Opening it in airplane mode, offloading the app data, restarting and then opening it. Deleting the data restarting, downloading and opening it (all of this happened with icloud and app back up off.

Expected result: I expect the app to open.

Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.94

Mobile Device details iPhone 16 pro max

Additional Information: code given is 0x8BADF00D

The issue persists on 1.95

You can gather iOS logs that reveal Brave Browser (iOS) analytics data … and provide those to Brave Support. See how to do that:

‘Brave Browser (iOS) constantly crashes on iPhone XR - #3 by 289wk’

Whenever you get Brave Browser (iOS) running-and-stable … You might Enable the switch for sending browser analytics to Brave … navigate to Menu > All Settings > Shields & Privacy.

Within this section, look for the subsection labeled Other Privacy Settings. The specific toggle is: Allow Privacy-Preserving Product Analytics (P3A)

Sent the email with attachment Client-2026-09-27-180530.txt thanks for the heads up.

Follow all the steps.

So the last step would be describing the issue?

When I go to open brave, whether it is newly downloaded or back when it first happened, after using it for years, the app hangs. It opens, but the screen is white. None of the features are usable and after deleting the app and reinstalling I may get one session out of the browser before it goes white again.
