Hi!
I’m using Brave 1.83.120 on Pixel 10 Pro, Android 16. Sync enabled between my phone and Windows PC. When using browser, I’ve noticed that battery drains a lot, Brave is in the top of highest % of battery usage. I checked also Firefox, to compare and currently battery stats are as follows:
Firefox
App usage time: 1h18min
Background usage: less than 1min
TOTAL BATTERY USE: 13%
Brave:
App usage time: 22min
Background usage: 1min
TOTAL BATTERY USE: 10%
I was using Firefox over 3 times longer than Brave and it used 3% more battery and if I recall, when usage times for these two apps were similar, Brave had something like 10-15% while Firefox was on 5-7%.
I don’t think that is a normal behavior. I’m not keeping opened tabs when closing Brave and I haven’t changed too much settings compared to default and I have no idea what might be causing this drain with Brave.
