Since upgrading to a new laptop the Brave ad notifications have not been automatically closing despite my Windows notification timeout being set to 5 seconds. They just stay there indefinitely until I close them manually by clicking the ‘X’.
Other notifications such as e-mail, system, Telegram etc. do disappear after 5 seconds, so this only seems to be an issue with Brave.
What is strange that when using the button on this page - https://support.brave.app/hc/en-us/articles/360058972091-Push-Notification-Test - to generate a test notification, the notification produced did disappear after 5 seconds.
Brave Version - 1.80.122 (Official Build) (64-bit)

@turtley let me ask, is it literally just staying there indefinitely or is that a bit of an exaggeration. Don’t take it the wrong way but the reason I’m asking is that what you are showing is the Rewards notification ad. I forget how long it’s supposed to appear but I think it lingered like up to 30 seconds or something which could feel like forever compared to others.
So I guess I just wanted to confirm if you’re saying it really does stay permanently until you hit the X or if it’s sticking around as long as it did just felt like forever and you clicked it first?
OK, I timed a couple of notifications and they last for 2 minutes, so not indefinitely but certainly feels like an age. 
I don’t recall the notifications lasting for anywhere near this long on my old laptop.
I have the same issue. They either take way too long to disappear or not at all. There should be a way to adjust how long they display. They should at least conform to the Windows setting for all apps. Very annoying!
I’ve turned the ads off for now, I don’t think it’s worth it anymore since the coin doesn’t seem to be going anywhere and the reward amounts have gone down a lot.
I have ads turned off as well. I was thinking more of other notifications like with Google calendar or other sites running in Brave.
