There is anti-Adult list in brave://settings/shields/filters but Brave would never implement a password protection on a site. Censoring the web can be fraught with too many issues. There is applications/proxys/dns/lists that will filter adult lists.
If I wanted to filter out most adult content.
brave://settings/shields/filters Anti-Porn listbrave://settings/security?search=dns Enable Clean Browsing. Then please add an option for addons to be only disabled by password (each password for each addon separately.

@Jew extensions are available and you can use it. There are also parental controls type of things you can install on devices to control it and have passwords.
In addition, you could go a step further and set up DNS controls through the internet connection or device, but this is something outside of the browser.
Yes, but i can easily disable my extensions with a click of a button. Can you add password protection so i can not do that?
@Jew you can use Group Policy to force it.
But when you use parental controls stuff, it’s usually password protected and all.
@Jew sorry, let me give you a more thorough answer. Earlier I was busy and just tried to slip in a quick response while juggling other things.
The issue you brought up is that there are almost always ways around these protections. For example, if you add password protection to Brave to block certain sites, there are often workarounds like creating a new browser profile or simply installing a different browser altogether. So doing something at just the browser level usually is not worth the effort.
If you really want to tighten things up, you should configure your router to use a DNS that is designed to block adult content. For example:
https://support.opendns.com/hc/en-us/articles/228006487-FamilyShield-Router-Configuration-Instructions
This would help ensure that all devices connected to your internet cannot access those types of sites. However, the problem is that even this can often be bypassed using a VPN or proxy, such as Tor within Brave.
When you mention disabling extensions being easy to undo, you are right. Almost any method people use can be bypassed unless you go for very strict lockdowns.
As I mentioned earlier, group policy is an option. There are also parental control apps you can install on your device that can try to control those things for you and have their own passwords or unique limitations. It allows you to lock down certain features and block things like Tor from running, but this takes time to learn, set up, and maintain. Even then, nothing is ever fully bulletproof.
Please add: 1)Password protection for addons
2) Password protection for ability when switching profiles
Also browser consumes too much RAM (Windows 10).
Thanks.

I don’t thinks devs can implement password protection on addon screen anytime soon.
The trick I use to prevent my children from coming across NSFW content across internet is by means of using multi-layered strategy.
I see you use windows 10/11.
Follow these steps :
Change system wide DNS on windows itself like this : https://www.wintips.org/how-to-change-dns-settings-in-windows-10-11/
My personal Favourite are Adguard Family Protection DNS IPV4 94.140.14.15 & 94.140.15.16 and IPV6 2a10:50c0::bad1:ff & 2a10:50c0::bad2:ff but you can use any other server that you prefer. I choose Adguard dns because It not only blocks NSFW content but also redirects all SE search queries to SFW links hence no NSFW search reasults in Google or DDG or Yandex or Bing. It also blocks Potentially mature videos on YouTube and Hides comment section which is filled with NSFW bots. Also its free dns with good speeds.
Follow the same steps in Brave browser by turning on Secure DNS option in settigs and input the following string : https://family.adguard-dns.com/dns-query
If you use WiFi Router, change the DNS there as well.
Change the DNS options in android smartphones/TVs
Additionally I also use Kaspersky Internet Security on my windows so that comes with a wholesome parental control mechanism. This option also has a password protection mechanism to whitelist/blacklist any site.
Hope this kinda helps
The Ultimate Hosts Blacklist - Largest Unified Hosts File in the Universe
‘https://github.com/Ultimate-Hosts-Blacklist/Ultimate.Hosts.Blacklist’
All our information is gathered from multiple sources, tested regularly and merged into one massive file which is updated daily. Our hosts can be used on almost all operating system but we also propose 2 DNS servers that ingest and block the bad actor as good - if not better - than a hosts file.
@289wk The blocklist you provided only blocks website urls. It does not filter NSFW content from search engines like NSFW images and videos. It also does not enable “restricted mode” in youtube which hides potentially mature content.
Also, implementing this this will be resource heavy. Better go with a DNS that offers all of the above. IMHO
OISD list is the biggest nsfw blocklist on the internet, which is updated every 45 minutes.
The list is so accurate that reputable companies like Mullvad VPN use this list in their own DNS blocklist.
I think brave should replace its anti-porn list with OISD list which is very frequently updated and has almost zero false flag.
Anyways, using multilayered approach (like @Druid explained above) is much more efficient and effective against undesired content on the net, rather than just importing a list which can be easily bypassed.
I think OP is insisting on implemening a passcode protection which would be required to change any brave settings set by admin of the browser (many private, free, proprietary browsers have this feature, mostly on Android)
This would enable users have peace of mind that when their device is in the hands of someone else (like a child), settings like Clean DNS and Anti-porn filter cannot be disabled/changed without entering a password/password.
Such passcodes are usually different (mostly 6 digits numbers) from that of main screen unlock password of android or even biometric.
Besides, most useful parental control apps are behind a paywall.
