I tested it: if I allow all ads in advanced controls, YouTube works. Disabling Shields also works, but ads appear. Hope this can be fixed, thank you.

This is an issue that will occur from time to time. Our ad block devs will update Shields to bypass YouTubes adblock detection. Please test again today and see if you’re getting the same issue.

experiencing the same thing, i updated all of my components still no use currently doing delete cache which is a hustle but still trying to find something in some old post

Which list in brave://settings/shields/filters affects it? Just disable each one, and then refresh the YT page.
Same issue.
Going to brave://settings/content/all and deleting all cookies for Youtube fixes it, but I’m now having to do this every day.

I just tried adjusting the settings, and it seems to work fine now. I’ll keep observing it over the next couple of days.
