Autofill not autofilling Kubuntu 26.04

There isn’t a dedicated menu option for support related to the browser itself, so I apologize for the miscategorization. Since I upgraded to Kubuntu 26.04, I’ve had issues with Brave Browser’s ability to autofill in several webpages. This was working fine for some time, but now it fails to recognize the autofill tabs on some basic webpages. For instance, GitHub.com login does not autofill my login information. The “key” icon appears in the search menu, indicating that Brave has found an autofill box, but the autofill pop-up does not appear when I click the “username” or “password” fields. On other systems, this information is usually entered automatically. I have enabled the “sign in automatically” option in Brave settings, but it’s not working. Instead, I have to copy my passwords to the clipboard, which poses a security threat.

Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Go to a website where you have known credentials and it should autofill
  2. I’m really not sure. Does anyone else experience this issue? I’ve seen this since I installed brave on this operating system

Expected result:

Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.90.121 (Official build) 64-bit. Chromium 148.0.7778.96
