This message mean, you’ve less than 5 BAT in your creator dashboard. See, you’ve 0 BAT shown in your screenshot.
And this message is normal. Shown to all creators.
No. You don’t need to do that.
To make it clear, payout on 8th every month is for BAT you received in your creators.brave.com dashboard – from tip, contribution, or referral.
And you’ll not get paid. Because you’ve nothing to paid.
Why am I not getting paid? All the downloads and install were from the referral link

The flow is:
- You referring a new user, they download, use it, then the referral is confirmed
- Brave pay you for confirmed referral and it’s deposited to your creators.brave.com dashboard
- And on payout date, you’ll get paid – BAT from creators dashboard will be send to Uphold account.
So, back to steps one
My referral was confirmed ages ago. I don’t understand why I need to have 5 BAT in my account to get the money from downloads and installs
The confirmed is still 0.

Confirmations: A referral confirmation is any user who downloads Brave from your referral page and proceeds to use the browser for a minimum of 30 days since the browser was first opened. Your referrals must reach confirmed status in order for you to earn the associated BAT reward.
So the downloads and install doesn’t count at all for the payout? Only the confirmed ones?
