Would it be possible to increase the shortcuts grid from the current ~12×2 (24 sites) to something like 12×8, or ideally allow users to customize the number of rows and columns?
Right now, once you exceed 24 shortcuts you have to swipe between pages, which makes it harder to see all frequently used sites at a glance and hurts the UX.
I tried some Speed Dial / New Tab extensions, but many of them have UIs that feel quite different from Brave’s clean native design. I’d strongly prefer keeping the original Brave New Tab style, just with a larger grid.
Also, it would be great if users could optionally hide the “Ask Brave Search” box, since searching from the URL bar already works and hiding it would free up more space for shortcuts.
I understand that we can swipe to the next page, but in practice that’s not very convenient for quick access.
