Allow "Add to Home Screen" even if app is available

The “Add to Home screen” option is replaced by “Install app” if an app is available. Sometimes, we don’t want to install the app and still want to add a site to the home screen. It would be nice if the option was still available.

I want this too. Workaround I use: disable internet, refresh, Add to Home Screen, re-enable internet. This way doesn’t pull the favicon though.
