Thank you for the detailed report – really appreciate having all the information up front. Testing on my end, I’m not seeing this crash. I also had a colleague test as well ensuring they’re on iPadOS 26.0.1 and they aren’t seeing the crash either.
In order to figure out what’s going on here, it would be helpful to view crash analytics/logs for the app. You can do this from the Analytics & Improvements section of your iOS settings, as instructed here: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/xcode/acquiring-crash-reports-and-diagnostic-logs#Locate-crash-reports-and-memory-logs-on-the-device
I’ve pasted the relevant steps are pasted below for your convenience:
- On your iPad, open
Settings
- Go to
Privacy & Security --> Analytics & Improvements
- Tap
Analytics data
- Find the log for the Brave app – for Brave, it should display as
Client-{date of crash} – and tap on it
- In the top-right corner, tap the
Share button and send the report to yourself such that you can easily retrieve it
I’ve just sent you a DM – once you have the logs, go ahead and upload them to me in that DM (so it’s not uploaded publicly) and I can have the team take a look.
