Address bar autocomplete suggestions are appearing in ways they aren’t supposed to

I’m just reposting this issue so I can add a fix

It’s confusing when autocomplete search suggestions are only set to bookmarks at brave://settings/appearance and yet various other suggestions are appearing.
After some more noodling, I found that the “Improve search suggestions” option at brave://settings/privacy was also adding value at me, and once I disabled that the system behaved as expected.

I’ve had the “Improve search suggestions” option toggled off for ages, yet the bugs still occurred and have persisted to this day.
