"Add to home screen" doesn't honor full URL

Description of the issue:

Home screen shortcuts and webapps do not honor full URL. I found some related posts, but none was fully answered. A workaround was proposed here, but it is quiet inconvenient.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open an issue page (this Brave Community page for example) in Brave for Android.

  2. Tap 3-dots menu → Add to home screen

  3. Tap “Create shortcut”

  4. Tap “Add”

  5. Tap “Add to home screen”

  6. Open Android’s home screen

  7. Open the created shortcut icon

Actual result:

A tab is opened in Brave for the base URL only:

https://community.brave.app/

Expected result:

A tab is opened for the full URL, e.g.:

https://community.brave.app/t/how-to-add-a-bookmark-to-your-home-screen-without-installing-a-web-app/583236/3

Brave Version( check About Brave): Brave 1.81.131, Chromium 139.0.7258.66
